Rhodes is one of the Greek Dodecanese Islands located in the Aegean Sea 250 kilometres south east of the mainland (port of Piraeus). The name "Rhodes" comes from "island of the roses".

Windsurfing season on Rhodes begins in March and lasts until the end of November, but the best time to go to Rhodes for windsurfing, of course, is the summer, especially the months of July and August.
